The fear in Manhattan is literally tangible. I can feel it pulsating under my skin. But I know it’s not mine. The sky speaks of storms approaching, through it’s powerful gusts of wind and swirling storm clouds rolling in. Mama Gaia is here, she can no longer be denied, despite the illusory protection within shiny walls + windows we have built up and around us. Our only safety now must come from within. 

Do people worry about death? Do they worry about the loss of belongings, loved ones, or their homes? I know I am safe. To me, this is what 2012 is all about. We can buy, consume, and prepare as much as we want, but if we don’t build our inner sense of safety and intuition—we are left empty. Our attachments to physical belongings will only leave us feeling a sense of lack when they are gone. It is so important to develop and build our own security within. Lets take this time to go within, look at the deepest parts of ourselves, and come out rejuvenated, enlivened, and inspired. 

This powerful Full Harvest moon in conduction with the Hurricane feels like some kind of energy vortex point. It is my intention to channel as much love into this energy center as I possibly can at this time. Turn off the TV. Turn off the News. Lets do the things we love that bring about an inner sense of peace, no matter where in the world we may be. I will be making raw chocolate (sharing with my roomies of course), meditating, playing, making jewelry, and connecting with the powerful energy of these two forces in nature. 

We mustn’t fall into the fear. We are safe, loved, and protected always. This is Mother Earth’s balancing act. Lets ride these waves and channel in mass amounts of love for this gorgeous planet we are so blessed to live on during this powerful time in human history. I love you. <3
